Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks and trailers on various roadways.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads for transit.
- Maintain accurate records, including Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR) and Electronic Logging Device (ELD) logs.
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding delivery schedules and issues.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure vehicle readiness.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) preferred.
- Basic English reading and writing skills for logbook and safety compliance.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Strong commitment to safety and customer service.
