Responsibilities
- Operate commercial tractor-trailer vehicles in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Manage all necessary documentation, including electronic logging devices (ELD), bills of lading, and delivery receipts.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is in optimal condition and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Load and unload cargo securely using proper equipment, ensuring cargo safety during transit.
- Maintain a clean and professional driving record and vehicle appearance at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members to ensure timely deliveries and route changes.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the state.
- Must have a clean driving record (MVR) with no more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and meet medical standards.
- Must pass a mandatory drug screen and background check.
- Must be 21 years of age or older to operate commercial vehicles across state lines.
- Basic mechanical knowledge is preferred but not required as training is provided.
