Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Load and unload cargo accurately and securely using proper equipment.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation, including Hours of Service (HOS) and delivery receipts.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and any issues encountered.
- Keep the truck and trailer clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam.
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
- Must be willing to travel and be away from home for extended periods.
- Basic computer skills for logging and reporting.
