Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks safely and efficiently on designated routes within the region.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and complete all necessary delivery documentation.
- Uphold a professional image and provide excellent customer service while interacting with shippers and receivers.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety protocols at all times.
- Assist with warehouse duties when not on the road, ensuring timely loading and unloading of freight.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Must be at least 21 years of age and meet Department of Transportation (DOT) physical requirements.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong mechanical aptitude for basic vehicle troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to undergo entry-level training and mentorship programs.
- Flexibility to work varying schedules and occasional overtime.
