Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A trucks safely and efficiently to deliver freight on time.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring weight distribution is accurate.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours and mileage using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD).
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
- Keep the truck and trailer clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A) with a clean driving record (no DUIs within the last 3 years).
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and cargo securement procedures.
- Basic mechanical skills to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screening.
