As a Delivery Driver with Swift, you will be responsible for transporting cargo safely and efficiently across the country. We provide comprehensive training programs for new drivers, ensuring you have the skills and confidence needed to succeed on the road.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial tractor-trailers to deliver freight to designated locations on time and in safe condition.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and safety.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any potential issues.
- Maintain a clean and professional driving record by adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Must be at least 21 years old and possess a clean driving record (MVR).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Willingness to submit to a drug screen and background check.
- Basic math skills for making change and handling cargo documentation.
- Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
