Job Summary:
As a Dump Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting various materials (soil, sand, gravel, asphalt) to and from job sites. You will operate heavy machinery, maintain safety standards, and ensure timely delivery of materials to support our construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks safely and efficiently to transport materials to designated sites.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Load and unload materials using the truck's hydraulic systems, ensuring weight distribution is correct.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies.
- Complete daily logbooks and paperwork accurately and on time.
- Maintain a clean and organized truck cab and trailer at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and site supervisors regarding schedules and potential delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating dump trucks or heavy hauling vehicles.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Physically fit to perform manual labor, including lifting and climbing.
- Knowledge of basic truck maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including overtime and weekends as needed.
