Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks to transport various materials, including gravel, dirt, and construction debris, to designated sites.
- Load and unload materials safely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads for transit.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies while driving.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and site supervisors to coordinate routes and delivery schedules.
- Maintain a clean and organized truck cab and trailer at all times.
- Document mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents accurately in the daily logbook.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience driving dump trucks or heavy haul vehicles.
- Current DOT medical card and clear MVR (Motor Vehicle Record).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of safety procedures and defensive driving techniques.
- Physically fit and capable of loading and unloading materials (may require lifting up to 50 lbs).
- Must be a resident of or willing to commute to the El Paso, TX area.
