Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks to transport construction materials across Chicago and surrounding areas
- Perform pre-trip inspections and basic maintenance checks
- Load/unload materials at job sites following safety protocols
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
- Adapt routes based on traffic and weather conditions
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and site managers
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company policies
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years dump truck driving experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Knowledge of Chicago area roads and construction zones
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Strong attention to detail and safety focus
