Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks for material transport (dirt, gravel, asphalt)
- Perform daily pre-trip inspections and equipment maintenance checks
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and route documentation
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Collaborate with site supervisors for efficient loading/unloading operations
- Monitor vehicle performance and report maintenance needs promptly
- Support emergency response during inclement weather or project deadlines
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Heavy equipment operation certification preferred
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of Baton Rouge metro area and surrounding regions
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
