Responsibilities
- Safely operate heavy dump trucks on various job sites in Reno, NV and the surrounding region.
- Load and unload materials (sand, gravel, rock, dirt) using forklifts, loaders, or manual labor as required.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck and trailer are in safe operating condition.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours and delivery receipts.
- Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and site supervisors regarding route changes or delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience driving dump trucks or heavy equipment.
- Ability to read and understand DOT logs and safety manuals.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions.
- Strong knowledge of local road conditions and traffic laws in Washoe County.
- Willingness to pass a background check and drug screen.
