Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks and heavy equipment to transport materials to and from job sites.
- Load and unload materials using forklifts, skid steers, or manual methods.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation for DOT compliance.
- Navigate routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and site supervisors regarding delivery times and site conditions.
- Keep the truck clean and maintain a professional appearance.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in dump truck or heavy haul driving.
- Ability to pass a DOT drug screen and background check.
- Physically capable of lifting heavy objects and operating heavy machinery.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and traffic laws.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
- Flexibility to work in various weather conditions and varying shifts.
