Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks while adhering to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicle systems and cargo
- Transport freight between Dallas, TX and Ohio routes with on-time delivery performance
- Maintain accurate electronic logs and delivery documentation using ELD systems
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and warehouse personnel
- Secure and verify cargo loading/unloading procedures at distribution centers
- Report mechanical issues immediately and conduct minor preventative maintenance
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Familiarity with Dallas metro and Ohio corridor routes preferred
- Basic knowledge of cargo securement and weight distribution
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
- Flexibility for overnight travel and weekend shifts as needed
- Experience with electronic logging devices (ELD) required
