Responsibilities
- Safely operate heavy dump trucks and commercial vehicles on various road and job site conditions.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and cargo to ensure compliance and safety.
- Secure loads properly using tarps and straps to prevent shifting during transit.
- Maintain accurate daily logs and comply with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and site supervisors regarding schedules, traffic, and delays.
- Unload materials efficiently at job sites using proper equipment and techniques.
- Adhere to all company policies and safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience driving dump trucks or heavy equipment.
- Must possess a clean driving record and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and local roadways.
- Physical ability to lift heavy loads, climb in and out of the cab, and perform manual tasks.
