Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks safely and efficiently to transport materials such as soil, gravel, sand, and demolition debris.
- Load and unload trucks using forklifts, skid steers, or manual labor as required.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and ensure all paperwork is up to date.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and site supervisors regarding job status and potential delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience operating heavy dump trucks.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and road safety in the Los Angeles area.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor, including lifting and climbing in/out of the cab.
- Reliable attendance and a professional work ethic.
