Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks to transport materials, debris, and supplies to and from job sites in Newark, NJ.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Secure loads properly to prevent shifting or accidents during transit.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date logs of driving hours (DOT compliant).
- Unload materials at designated locations, ensuring efficient workflow.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience driving dump trucks or heavy commercial vehicles.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy items and standing for extended periods.
- Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of Newark, NJ.
