Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks to transport loose materials such as sand, dirt, gravel, and asphalt to construction sites.
- Perform thorough daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Secure loads properly using straps and chains to prevent shifting or accidents during transit.
- Maintain a clean and organized cab and truck bed to ensure efficient operations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety protocols at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and site supervisors regarding load status and delivery times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience driving dump trucks or heavy commercial vehicles.
- Must possess a current DOT medical card and pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong understanding of load securement procedures and weight distribution laws.
- Ability to pass a physical examination demonstrating the physical stamina required for the job.
- Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and work in various weather conditions.
