Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks to transport heavy materials (sand, gravel, dirt, asphalt) to various construction and site locations.
- Load and unload materials using forklifts, skid steers, or manual labor as required.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate logs and maintain a clean driving record in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, site managers, and team members.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies at all times.
- Perform routine maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience driving dump trucks or heavy equipment.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong understanding of pre-trip inspection procedures and safety regulations.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early starts, overtime, and weekends if necessary.
