Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks to transport loose materials (sand, gravel, dirt, asphalt) to and from job sites.
- Load and unload materials using winches, skid steers, or forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Inspect vehicle daily, ensuring tires, lights, brakes, and fluids are in optimal condition.
- Maintain accurate daily logs and delivery paperwork in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Follow all traffic laws and company safety policies to ensure a accident-free work environment.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and site supervisors regarding delivery schedules and route changes.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to report any mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B with appropriate endorsements.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience driving dump trucks or heavy hauling vehicles.
- Must possess a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong understanding of weight limits and hauling regulations.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, overtime, and weekends as needed.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to perform minor vehicle troubleshooting.
