Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks, ensuring the secure transport of loose materials (sand, gravel, dirt) to job sites.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure all safety systems and DOT compliance requirements are met.
- Load and unload materials efficiently using forklifts or manual labor, adhering to weight limits and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate driver logs and delivery records in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and site supervisors to coordinate schedules and resolve any logistical issues.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and company safety policies to ensure a zero-accident work environment.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance of the vehicle and work area.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable experience driving dump trucks or heavy construction vehicles.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Ability to read maps and navigate various routes within Clark County and surrounding areas.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing manual tasks during loading/unloading.
- Strong commitment to safety and operational excellence.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
