Responsibilities
- Operate heavy-duty dump trucks to transport excavated materials and aggregate to designated dump sites.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload trucks safely, ensuring proper weight distribution.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours and vehicle maintenance records.
- Follow all traffic laws and company safety protocols to prevent accidents.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and site supervisors regarding route changes and delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B with Tanker endorsement is preferred.
- A clean driving record with no major violations within the last 3 years.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience operating dump trucks.
- Physically fit and able to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions, including extreme cold and rain.
- Basic understanding of mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting.
