Responsibilities
- Operate heavy dump trucks to transport materials efficiently across Houston and surrounding areas.
- Safely load and unload materials at job sites while adhering to strict site safety regulations and protocols.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and DOT compliance.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and electronic logging devices (ELD) in strict accordance with federal and state regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and site supervisors to optimize delivery routes and resolve logistical challenges.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, traffic control devices, and company driving policies to ensure zero accidents.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B CDL with appropriate endorsements.
- Clean driving record with no more than 3 points on driving abstract.
- Proven experience operating dump trucks or heavy commercial vehicles in a professional setting.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam (drug screen and background check required).
- Strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and professional driving standards.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to identify and report minor vehicle issues.
