Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A dump trucks to transport loose materials (sand, gravel, dirt, asphalt) to and from job sites.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Load and unload materials using a loader, excavator, or shovel while maintaining accurate weight records.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) logs and daily vehicle inspection reports (DVIR).
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, project managers, and site supervisors.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record and Tanker endorsement.
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable experience operating dump trucks in a commercial setting.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of road conditions, traffic patterns, and route planning in the Sacramento area.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
