Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks to transport loose materials (sand, gravel, asphalt) to and from construction sites.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Load and unload trucks using forklifts or other machinery safely.
- Maintain accurate daily logs and delivery paperwork in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and site supervisors regarding schedules and hazards.
- Drive defensively in all weather conditions and adhere to traffic laws.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B with tank endorsement.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean driving record with no more than one moving violation in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Basic knowledge of truck maintenance and troubleshooting.
