Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks and hauling equipment on local and regional routes within the Fresno and Central Valley area.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle and cargo safety compliance.
- Load and unload materials using backhoes, dozers, and skid steers as required by job sites.
- Maintain accurate electronic logbooks and digital vehicle inspection reports (DVIR).
- Adhere strictly to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and site supervisors regarding delivery times and route changes.
- Keep the cab and equipment clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with necessary endorsements.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience driving dump trucks or heavy haul vehicles.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam and drug screening.
- Strong knowledge of local Fresno area roadways, geography, and traffic patterns.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for minor vehicle troubleshooting.
