Responsibilities
- Safely operate heavy dump trucks to transport construction materials, soil, and debris to designated sites.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently using various methods, ensuring weight distribution and safety.
- Perform daily inspections of the vehicle (pre-trip and post-trip) to ensure mechanical integrity and compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records including daily logs, delivery receipts, and Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR).
- Navigate diverse terrains including construction zones, urban streets, and off-road job sites with precision.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and site supervisors to coordinate routes and schedules.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A or B license required (Hazmat endorsement preferred).
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no recent serious violations or DUIs.
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable experience driving dump trucks or heavy haul trucks.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screening.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including early mornings, late nights, and weekends.
- Strong knowledge of Phoenix, AZ roadways and traffic patterns is highly preferred.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to safety on the job site.
