Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks to transport construction materials (asphalt, gravel, debris) to designated job sites
- Perform thorough pre-trip/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, safety protocols, and local traffic laws
- Collaborate with site supervisors and ground crews for efficient material unloading
- Manage loading/unloading operations using hydraulic controls and safety procedures
- Report mechanical issues immediately and assist in basic troubleshooting
- Maintain clean driving record and complete all required training certifications
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of dump truck or heavy equipment operation experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical examination and random drug screenings
- Strong knowledge of Boston-area geography and construction site navigation
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in various weather conditions
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Must pass background check and provide employment verification
