Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks and heavy equipment to transport construction materials, aggregates, and debris
- Pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections ensuring compliance with DOT regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for all shipments
- Collaborate with site supervisors and project managers for efficient loading/unloading
- Adhere to strict safety protocols in all weather and road conditions
- Perform minor equipment maintenance and report mechanical issues promptly
- Build positive client relationships through professional communication and reliability
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of commercial dump truck or heavy equipment operation experience
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Strong knowledge of Virginia Beach area routes and construction site logistics
- OSHA 10-hour safety certification preferred
- Physical ability to climb equipment, lift 50+ lbs, and work in outdoor conditions
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
