Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks to transport construction materials (dirt, gravel, asphalt)
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle logs per DOT regulations
- Load/unload materials using proper equipment and safety protocols
- Navigate construction sites and public roads while adhering to traffic laws
- Perform basic maintenance checks and report mechanical issues
- Collaborate with foremen and dispatchers for efficient route planning
- Ensure all safety gear is worn and site-specific procedures are followed
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Hazmat endorsement preferred
- Minimum 2 years of dump truck or heavy equipment operation experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in outdoor/variable weather conditions
- Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Knowledge of Arizona DOT regulations and safety standards
- Strong time management and communication skills
