Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks and hauling equipment safely and efficiently on job sites and public highways.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle and load safety compliance.
- Load and unload materials (sand, gravel, asphalt, demolition debris) using hydraulic beds and loaders.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, miles traveled, and delivery receipts.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety protocols, and OSHA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and site supervisors to coordinate schedules and deliveries.
- Keep the truck cab and exterior clean and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience operating dump trucks or heavy haul equipment.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions and terrains.
