Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks to transport loose materials (soil, rock, sand, gravel) to designated sites.
- Load and unload trucks using hydraulic hoists or skid steers, ensuring proper weight distribution.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition.
- Maintain accurate driver logs and paperwork in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Navigate construction sites and roadways safely, adhering to traffic laws.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and site managers regarding delivery schedules and issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience as a Dump Truck Driver or Heavy Equipment Operator.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3 years.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Physically fit to handle the demands of the job, including lifting heavy loads and working in various weather conditions.
