Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks to transport loose materials (soil, rock, gravel) to and from job sites.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle mechanical safety and compliance.
- Load and secure loads accurately, adhering to weight distribution and DOT regulations.
- Maintain a clean driving record and adhere strictly to all traffic laws and safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, site foremen, and clients to ensure project timelines are met.
- Keep the cab and truck bed clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B (Class A preferred for experienced drivers).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience operating heavy dump trucks.
- Ability to pass a mandatory background check and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations, safety procedures, and vehicle maintenance.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting moderately heavy materials and working in various weather conditions.
- Willingness to travel to different job sites within the region.
