Responsibilities
- Safely operate heavy dump trucks to transport materials such as aggregate, soil, and construction debris to and from job sites.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is in safe operating condition.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date logbooks and documentation in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload materials using winches, forklifts, or manual labor, ensuring weight distribution is safe.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, site supervisors, and crew members to coordinate delivery schedules.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies at all times.
- Keep the truck and trailer clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) in good standing with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience operating dump trucks in a commercial setting.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery and basic equipment for loading/unloading.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions.
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
