Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks and heavy machinery on construction sites and public roads
- Transport construction materials (gravel, sand, asphalt) to designated locations
- Conduct pre-trip/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle logs
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and local traffic regulations
- Collaborate with site supervisors for efficient load/unload coordination
- Maintain clean vehicles and report maintenance needs promptly
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with airbrake endorsement
- Minimum 2 years' experience operating dump trucks or heavy equipment
- Clean MVR with no major violations in the past 3 years
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of Chicago-area routes and construction zones
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
