Responsibilities
- Safely operate heavy dump trucks to transport materials such as sand, gravel, dirt, and asphalt to and from job sites.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload materials using hydraulic dump systems and hand tools, ensuring proper weight distribution.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and adhere to all hours-of-service laws.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and site supervisors to coordinate schedules and delivery requirements.
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B with Tanker endorsement preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience operating dump trucks or heavy construction equipment.
- Clean driving record with no more than two moving violations in the past three years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen, physical examination, and background check.
- Strong knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Must be able to pass a road test demonstrating safe driving maneuvers.
