Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks to transport materials (soil, rock, sand, gravel) to and from job sites efficiently and safely.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and prevent mechanical issues.
- Load and unload materials using forklifts, skid steers, and other heavy equipment.
- Maintain accurate logs and digital documentation of daily operations and mileage.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, site supervisors, and crew members.
- Keep the truck and surrounding work area clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience in a dump truck or heavy haul context.
- Clean driving record with no DUIs or serious traffic violations.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of local Bakersfield roads and heavy construction zones.
- Physically fit and able to perform manual labor as required.
