Responsibilities
- Operate heavy dump trucks in various construction and mining environments, ensuring timely delivery of materials.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload materials safely using forklifts, front-end loaders, or skid steers as required.
- Maintain accurate logs and records, including mileage, fuel consumption, and incident reports.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies while navigating diverse terrains.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, site supervisors, and crew members to coordinate operations efficiently.
- Perform minor vehicle maintenance and cleaning duties to keep the fleet in top condition.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driverβs License (CDL) Class A or B required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating heavy dump trucks.
- Strong understanding of DOT hours-of-service regulations and safety standards.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination and drug screening.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Willingness to work in varying weather conditions and rugged terrains.
- Basic mechanical knowledge is a plus.
