Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks to transport construction materials (asphalt, gravel, soil) between job sites and disposal facilities
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting all maintenance issues
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation per DOT regulations
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and construction site safety protocols
- Coordinate with dispatch team and site supervisors for efficient route planning
- Assist with basic equipment troubleshooting and minor repairs
- Secure loads properly to prevent spillage during transit
- Complete mandatory safety training and certifications
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with air brakes endorsement
- Minimum 2 years of commercial dump truck driving experience
- Clean MVR record with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug test and physical examination
- Familiarity with Bay Area traffic patterns and construction zones
- Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment troubleshooting
- OSHA 10-hour construction safety certification preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
