Responsibilities
- Safely operate heavy dump trucks to transport materials such as sand, gravel, dirt, and asphalt.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure equipment safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate daily logs (DOT/MV-455) and adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Load and unload materials using skid steers or forklifts as required.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and site supervisors regarding delivery schedules and site conditions.
- Keep the truck and trailer clean and in good working order at all times.
Qualifications
- Courier license (CDL) Class A or B required (Hazmat endorsement is a plus).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience driving dump trucks in a construction or industrial environment.
- Valid medical card (DOT physical) and clean driving record.
- Ability to read and understand maps, GPS, and delivery orders.
- Strong physical stamina to lift heavy loads and endure long hours on the road.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends during peak seasons.
