Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks to transport construction materials, debris, and aggregates to job sites
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, safety protocols, and local traffic laws
- Collaborate with site supervisors and logistics teams for efficient material delivery
- Load/unload materials using proper techniques and equipment
- Manage delivery schedules and communicate delays proactively
- Document mileage, materials transported, and incident reports
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of commercial dump truck operation experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Virginia roadways and construction site protocols
- Strong commitment to safety and defensive driving practices
- Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
