Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 24-26 ft box truck for local and regional freight deliveries in the DMV area
- Manage daily route planning, loading/unloading procedures, and on-time delivery scheduling
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage records, and required documentation for compliance
- Inspect and perform basic preventative maintenance on assigned vehicle
- Build strong client relationships through professional communication and service excellence
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, safety protocols, and company policies
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B CDL with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Minimum 2 years commercial box truck experience in urban/metro environments
- Proven ability to independently manage logistics and time-sensitive deliveries
- Basic mechanical knowledge for routine vehicle maintenance troubleshooting
- Strong customer service skills and professional communication abilities
- Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Commercial liability insurance ($1M minimum) and DOT medical certification
