Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks for local and regional deliveries within Washington, DC metropolitan area
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each shipment
- Ensure timely pickups and deliveries while adhering to DOT regulations
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and coordinate maintenance schedules
- Build strong client relationships through professional communication and on-time service
- Optimize routes to maximize efficiency and minimize transit times
- Manage inventory handling with attention to safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 3 years verifiable box truck driving experience
- DOT medical certification and current TWIC card (if required for routes)
- Strong knowledge of Washington, DC geography and traffic patterns
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and operate loading equipment
- Proven track record of timely deliveries and customer satisfaction
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills for minor repairs
- Entrepreneurial mindset with business ownership experience preferred
