Responsibilities
- Perform safe and timely delivery of goods to commercial and residential clients across the Kansas City metro area.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently using hand trucks, pallet jacks, and proper lifting techniques.
- Verify delivery quantities and obtain necessary signatures or approvals from recipients.
- Maintain accurate logs, records, and documentation in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service and represent the MetroDirect brand positively at every stop.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is required.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (Medical Card) must be on file.
- Clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Strong knowledge of local Kansas City, MO geography and traffic patterns.
- Basic computer literacy for electronic logging devices (ELD) and reporting systems.
