Responsibilities
- Safely transport packages and documents across Washington DC metropolitan area
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic tracking systems
- Provide exceptional customer service during residential and commercial deliveries
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Optimize routes using GPS technology to meet delivery windows
- Handle fragile and temperature-sensitive shipments with care
- Collaborate with dispatch team for real-time route adjustments
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and local traffic laws
Qualifications
- Valid DC driver's license with clean 3-year driving record
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout shift
- Strong knowledge of DC streets and metropolitan area
- Basic smartphone proficiency for delivery apps
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
- High school diploma or equivalent required
