Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated addresses.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring packages are handled with care and remain secure during transit.
- Verify delivery contents and obtain signatures or proof of delivery from customers.
- Inspect the vehicle daily for mechanical issues, damages, and cleanliness; report maintenance needs immediately.
- Navigate efficiently using GPS systems to optimize delivery routes and ensure timely arrivals.
- Interact professionally and courteously with customers to resolve any delivery issues or questions.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Clear and clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50+ lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently without direct supervision.
- Basic math skills for handling cash and processing transactions.
- Excellent verbal communication skills for interacting with customers and dispatchers.
- Reliable transportation to and from the depot.
