Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport packages and goods to designated locations throughout Detroit
- Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation for each shipment
- Provide exceptional customer service during interactions at delivery points
- Follow optimized routes to ensure timely deliveries and fuel efficiency
- Inspect vehicles before and after shifts to ensure safe operating conditions
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team regarding delivery status and challenges
- Assist with loading/unloading procedures and package handling
Qualifications
- Valid Michigan driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift packages up to 50 pounds regularly
- Previous delivery or commercial driving experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of Detroit metro area and surrounding communities
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Basic proficiency with GPS navigation systems and mobile apps
- Reliable transportation to and from designated starting point
