Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles to safely and efficiently deliver freight to customers throughout Virginia Beach and surrounding regions.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and vehicle safety.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods to prevent damage during transit.
- Obtain digital signatures and verify delivery details to maintain accurate billing records.
- Maintain a clean driving record and strictly adhere to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service during every stop, representing the Swift brand professionally.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate and DOT physical.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet tight delivery deadlines.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
