Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of parcels to residential and commercial customers.
- Interact professionally and politely with customers, resolving any issues that may arise during the delivery process.
- Inspect and verify packages before loading and after unloading to ensure nothing is damaged or missing.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks (tire pressure, fluid levels, cleanliness) and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Load and unload packages efficiently, adhering to safety protocols to prevent injury.
- Maintain accurate records of delivery logs, mileage, and delivery statuses using company software or handheld devices.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Driver's License with a clean driving record (no major violations in the last 3 years).
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to navigate efficiently through traffic.
- Basic smartphone proficiency for using navigation apps and digital proof of delivery tools.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions and adhere to strict safety guidelines.
