Responsibilities
- Timely and safe delivery of food packages, retail goods, and documents to customers throughout Chicago
- Optimize routes using GPS technology to ensure maximum efficiency and on-time arrivals
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness, perform daily inspections, and report maintenance needs promptly
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, including order verification and issue resolution
- Accurately complete delivery paperwork and update tracking systems in real-time
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and company safety protocols at all times
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team regarding delivery status and route challenges
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year of professional driving experience (commercial or delivery preferred)
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles (required for some routes)
- Strong knowledge of Chicago neighborhoods and major roadways
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to lift packages up to 50 pounds repeatedly
- Basic smartphone proficiency for delivery apps and communication
- Must pass background check and drug screening
