Responsibilities
- Safely deliver packages and merchandise to residential and commercial addresses within designated Ohio routes
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and obtain customer signatures for high-value shipments
- Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Optimize delivery routes using GPS navigation to maximize efficiency and fuel savings
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions and handle inquiries professionally
- Load/unload packages with proper lifting techniques to prevent damage or injury
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety protocols at all times
Qualifications
- Valid Class C driver's license with clean MVR (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience or equivalent training certification
- Ability to lift packages up to 70 lbs repeatedly throughout shift
- Strong knowledge of Ohio roadways and navigation systems
- Pass background check and drug screening (pre-employment and random)
- Basic smartphone proficiency for delivery tracking apps
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holiday seasons
- High school diploma or equivalent required
